The company is the brain-child of Prabashnee Naidoo who has been actively involved in the Durban community at various levels. In a recent trip to India – an old friend approached her to collaborate with fashion ideas and take this concept to Durban. With Prabashnee’s zest for adventure and enthusiasm for taking on challenges she immediately brain-stormed ideas and crafted the way forward.

Being an educator by profession, she felt it necessary to do more with this initiative than just fashion and therefore developed this further. Prabashnee has therefore connected with the community to pursue a women’s empowerment program, through training and employment initiatives. This empowerment program is based on sustainable living principle of using natural threads to weave, craft, stitch and produce an array of natural items. All animal free ingredients, without testing on animals and the highest standard of manufacture and care has led this brand to be endorsed by Beauty Without Cruelty South Africa.

Prabashnee holds qualifications in the Humanities field as well as a Postgraduate qualification in Education (cum laude) obtained from the University of Kwz-Zulu Natal. She is registered with the South Africa Council for Educators (SACE) and also has a qualification in Public Relations, Communications and Even Co-ordination and is a member of the Public Relations Institute of South Africa (PRISA).

With this under her wing, V-Earth is now also promoting public speaking, coaching and mentoring programs – all with the vision to empower the community and encourage a stronger foundation for women and youth.

Prabashnee follows the principles as described in the Vedas of “simple living and higher thinking” and gives gratitude to Srila Prabhupada whose has brought these principles from ancient India to the western society.

It is with this foundation and mind-set that she has interwoven fashion, beauty, coaching and training workshops in the V-Earth brand.
She works closely with the media and other stakeholders, and has published newspaper supplements, written articles and edited writing for national and international distribution.
Prabashnee is married and her pride is her two daughters. She believes in hands-on parenting and providing a holistic approach to life for her family. V-Earth believes in making positive changes through their products, outreach programs and initiatives.
